We are delighted to invite you to attend a virtual lecture by Gus Casley Hayford OBE in the 'Talking Point' at Clayesmore on Thursday 19th June at 5.30pm Gus Casley Hayford is Director of the V&A East in London and Professor of Practice at SOAS university in London. He was appointed OBE in 2018 for his services to Arts and Culture. Among other roles,Gus was previously Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington and is a broadcaster, author and curator. He has also advised national and international bodies on heritage and culture, including the United Nations. We are proud to have Gus as an Old Clayesmorian and he has kindly offered to give a virtual lecture about' Why art matters and it's in Education and Society' as part of the Clayesmore Arts festival.
