Bronze Casting with Stephen Coles (Devine 2001)

This week Stephen, who runs the foundry Coles Casting, ran an initial wax sculpting workshop with some of Year 10&11 art and DT pupils. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore traditional sculpture techniques. The outcomes that the students produced were incredibly diverse and very creative and it was a fabulous way for Art and DT to collaborate. The second part of the workshop will be after half term, where the students will be casting their sculptures in bronze! |
