The Language of Success
Thursday, 25 July 2024

Alex Ashmore, a former pupil at Clayesmore who left in 2018, is now working as a Sports journalist, thanks in part to studying languages. Alex graduated from Exeter University in 2023 with a degree in French and Spanish and went on to complete his Master's in Madrid. During the last year, Alex has appeared several times on Real Madrid TV, among other sports channels, and featured in articles during the recent Euros.

As Alex's journey shows, languages open doors to exciting and competitive opportunities. Mastering multiple languages can significantly enhance your career prospects by broadening your ability to connect with diverse markets and cultures. In today's globalised economy, companies increasingly seek professionals who can easily navigate international landscapes, making multilingual employees invaluable assets. Whether it's for networking, negotiating, or simply expanding your professional horizons, the ability to communicate in more than one language can set you apart from your peers and propel your career to new heights.
