Dorset Junior Chef of the Year Final

After a really exciting afternoon of steel-nerved cookery in Weymouth College's Avenue Restaurant, I can tell you that Florence and Lucia were both unfortunately unsuccessful in securing a place in the South West Final.
However, their attitude from start to finish was exceptional and they had an amazing time. They got straight to work in an unfamiliar professional kitchen up against some serious contenders, and their dishes were excellent. The judges gave some lovely feedback and emphasised how impressed they were by the standard of cooking. They were pipped to the post by a young man who really pulled out all the stops as you can see in the pictures below.
Jo and I were so proud of them both for how hard they worked and how much maturity they showed. They made a fantastic impression on the school. Attached are photos of the finalists' dishes. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take other photos, but hopefully, the competition organisers will send us some soon.
